Update n8n, change size, stop and start

Keep n8n up to date and adjust resources when you need to.

Update n8n

In the instance Settings → Update n8n, enter latest or a version (for example 1.100.0). A backup is taken first; if the new version does not come up, the previous one is restored automatically. Going back to an older version is not possible.

Change size

In Settings → Change size. The machine is stopped, swapped and started again, with 2 to 5 minutes of downtime. The disk can only grow. Available sizes depend on your plan.

Stop and start

From the instance Actions menu. The address, IP and data stay the same. While the instance is stopped, scheduled workflows do not run.
